Here is a great opportunity to take part in one of the most meaningful parts of our worship service. Training is provided. Assistants are part of a revolving schedule, so your turn would come up once every few months.
Join a team that prepares the altar area and communion for services. Teams serve approximately two to three times per year. Training is provided.
Can you read music? That is all you need to know to be a part of the ALC hand bell choir. Rehearsal is at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. Guidance and training is provided.
People who like to make music are wanted and needed in both of our groups. These groups are a great way to meet people and bring your faith to life. Praise team provides music at the late service, and Chancel choir sings at the 8:30 service.
Looking for people with a handshake and a smile to share with people who worship at American Lutheran on Sunday mornings. Be part of a team that greets 20 minutes before the worship service, once every few months. Training provided.
Sunday Morning Bus Drivers
Pick up ALC members for church on Sunday morning in the ALC bus, once every few months. No special driver’s license required. Lots of smiles and treats as payment!
Congregational Life Event Helper
Work with the fun people from the Congregational Life committee by helping to set-up, serve and clean-up for various congregational events. No special skills required, and training is provided.
Vigils at St. John's
Let your presence be a gift. Volunteer to sit with someone facing the end of their life to ensure that no one dies alone. Training is provided for this special ministry of caring.
ALC is looking for a group of people who could help with serving at funerals as they arise.
Join a team of other volunteers and make sandwiches for the Salvation Army and MRM. Teams serve on Sunday mornings for one month every seven months. All supplies, materials and training are provided.
