American lutheran church Youth
programming
We are a very active youth program that offers education and fun to all age groups. While we have designated programming for your child's age, we also offer opportunities for the age groups to mix. Our youth program encourages and builds intergenerational faith.
sundays

First things first, grab a treat after worship in the Fellowship Hall. Then, Sunday's programming for elementary kids focuses on the lectionary texts and books of the Bible. This group meets in the chapel.
Meanwhile, our middle schoolers are beginning their journey towards becoming members of the congregation through forums and service and learning projects.
Our high schoolers start by volunteering in the nursery or with Sunday School and then take on challenging topics in Sunday Bible Study.
For kids under the age of 4, the nursery is open and staffed during the education hour.
Kids (and adults) of all ages are encouraged to participate in worship.
wednesdays
Wednesdays are a busy day at ALC! We start youth programming by picking the confirmation students from school. Once we are back at church, and we've had our snack, we get to work on faith formation.
Then, we have Kid's Choir with Sue! Kid's Choir is for ages 4-14. They practice to sing in worship around 4 times a year. Next up is Kid's Club where we take on a new theme every year through videos, readings, questions, and games.
Family dinner is for everyone. It's one of our favorite moments of each week because we get to strengthen our relationships across generations.
We wrap up the night with Youth Group. Wednesday nights for this group are all about connections.
